GOSFIELD HALL

Gosfield Hall is a beautiful Georgian mansion, with the most beautiful, well maintained grounds and parkland all looked after by the most tentative groundsmen and gardens who are out rain or shine everyday removing leaf fall and making sure everything is perfect. Gosfield hall is just a short five minute drive to my studio it really is a lovely venue and offers that classic timeless wedding setting. Bridal Room - The bridal suite is one of my favorites with lovely high ceilings, elegant furnishings and huge floor to ceiling mirror, the room is so opulent, spacious and airy. Photos & Lighting - With large windows and the gorgeous mirror to reflect the natural light you can get some beautiful getting ready photos and stunning full length gown photos. Every bride looks like a princess in this bridal suite.

BRAXTED PARK

Braxted Park is a beautiful stately home set in 500 acres of privately owned parkland with two large lakes and walled gardens providing couples with so many photo areas. Bridal Room - There is a dedicated suite with overflow into the conservatory area for Hair & Makeup just off the ceremony room, this flows so well and means that you can go straight from your prep area into the ceremony so not far to travel at all. The suite has plenty of sockets, a fridge and a coffee machine. Photos & Lighting - With the lighting in the conservatory you can get some lovely light and airy photos. The ceremony room is also very bright with lots of light.

Hatfield Place

Hatfield Place is a beautifully restored Georgian Country Home, surrounded by 15 acres of manicured and landscaped gardens and is located in the heart of Essex. Hatfield is one of the most stunning venues around, every detail is beautiful thought through and the rooms and spaces have been restored with a modern elegance. My favorite feature at the venue is the statement sweeping staircase, with a hand painted mural in farrow and bull colours. The backdrop makes every couple glow in their photos and is just the most beautiful entrance for Brides. Bridal Room - The most amazing getting ready room, salon quality with lots of room for guests. The owners have really thought about what a hair stylist and makeup artist would need, lots of salon chairs, plugs and space. Photos & Lighting - Really light and airy room with great lighting.

Blake Hall

Blake Hall offers two beautiful restored 17th century barns nestled within 60 acres of historic Grade II listed parkland and gardens. There is so much space at Blake Hall with the Essex Barn offering a beautiful rustic wedding breakfast and reception area and the Hay Barn for that magnificent window backdrop to your indoor ceremony as well as The Saddlery for outdoor ceremonies you have great spaces. Bridal Room - Blake Hall has the most beautiful little cottage with designated getting ready section, lots of lighting, plug sockets and a designated are to hand your wedding dress. You also have use of the bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom so its a wonderful getting ready space. Photos & Lighting - Although the cottage has small windows there are plenty of them and the light floods through so you can get some lovely well light getting ready photos.

Villiers Barn

Villiers Barn is a stunningly restored Grade II listed barn, with additional ceremony room full of natural lighting from its huge windows and a lovely Bridal Cottage surrounded by acres of manicured gardens and a beautiful lake. This new barn space is so fresh and clean and well planned out by the experienced owners, the barn spaces are so bright and centrally there is the beautiful courtyard. It all flows so well with great staff. Bridal Room - Villiers Barn have a fantastic bridal cottage, with kitchenette and a private swimming pool for the Bride and Hens to have a great night before the wedding. Photos & Lighting - With a designated getting ready room, no artificial light and has great natural light flooding in for fantastic getting ready photos.

Fennes

Fennes is a stunning stately home with opulent decor and a charming atmosphere that also offers two large additional reception areas to choose from, draped in white linen with lots of natural light overlooking the beautiful manicured lawns and woodlands. Bridal Room - At the top of the house is a fantastic getting ready area, this has just been freshly decorated with a lovely mural. There are designated stations to work from, with water fountain and the staff are very attentive to the brides needs. Photos & Lighting - Lighting is fantastic with wrap around windows creating a lovely white bright and airy space for getting ready photos.

Leez Priory

Leez Priory is a beautiful historic Tudor Manor House, set in 40 acres of parkland and manicured lawns with breathtaking lakes. The venue offers so many versitile spaces to choose from from the historical tower, to the rustic elegance of the Coach House. The venue is so pretty with Tudor wood paneling, exposed beams and fireplaces its a beautiful venue for Christmas weddings. Bridal Room - Leez Priory offers a great designated bridal dressing room that has recently been refreshed so you now have two rooms to get ready in with great facilities. Lots of seating for additional bridal party guests. Photos & Lighting - Good lighting from the large window in the main room, nice and airy for getting ready photos.

Down Hall

Down Hall is a beautiful and dates back to 1322, beautifully restored into a lovely Hotel & Spa offering beautiful and versatile wedding spaces for large weddings to luxurious and intimate parties. All the wedding spaces are opulent and spacious and the staff are wonderful. Bridal Room - The rooms are good, bright and airy, they also offer a great option that if you take all the top floor rooms you can also use the wide lobby area for lounging and breakfast while getting ready so it creates a great social atmosphere for bridal parties. Photos & Lighting - Bridal Suite is gorgeous and has great lighting with huge windows.

Hedingham Castle

Hedingham Castle is a unique and majestic standalone castle atop a hill surrounded by beautifully manicured medieval parkland and landscaped gardens. Fantastic heritage venue with a history spanning 900 years, there are not many Castle venues in the heart of Essex. Bridal Room - You have your own designated cottage, for the bridal party to stay in the night before. The cottage has a lovely atmosphere, offering home comforts and quint antique furniture. The staff are brilliant, with your own designated staff for bridal parties bringing refreshments and looking after you. Photos & Lighting - there are some lovely light areas in front of the windows in the cottage to get photos and around the stunning grounds.

The Compasses

The Compasses at Pattiswick is a very pretty open-plan wedding venue for intimate or smaller weddings. In the heart of the Essex countryside with panoramic views of cornfields and a wonderful rustic charm. Bridal Room - Large designated getting ready room, with hydraulic salon chairs, plenty of mirrors, with sofas and lots of space to get ready. They also have a great hanging area with wrap round mirrors for the dress and garment hanging area for suits or bridesmaids. Lovely staff, checking on the bridal party and attentive staff. Photos & Lighting - lots of lighting in the room, spotlights for the dress, mirror areas.
